Fringer announced its new Fringer EF Adapter is coming to GFX in the 2nd half of 2021 a few months ago and their latest update looks very promising. It’s great Fringer was able to accommodate for CDAF on the GFX50SII, but it looks like you will really want a PDAF camera to take full advantage of what the lenses and adapter can do.
We have just made a few simple tests to show the importance of PDAF support of the camera. We also included some sample photos taken by different lenses in the video. All of them were taken in medium format without crop. Lenses include Sigma 50/1.4 ART, Tamron SP 35/1.8VC, Tamron SP 45/1.8VC, EF85/1.2L II, EF135/2L, EF70-300L IS, etc.
Fringer EF-GFX Pro is in beta test stage now and will be released very soon. You will be able to purchase it from out webstore as well as other online stores like B&H Photo and Amazon.
