Fujifilm just announced the development of the Fujinon XF150-600mm and XF18-120mm lenses so I figured I would generate a quick size comparison based on the diagrams that Fujifilm shared. It looks like the XF150-600mm is going to be huge while the XF18-120mm will be pretty compact even though it is designed for video and photography. I compared the XF150-600mm with the XF100-400mm and the XF18-120mm with the XF16-55mm.
The engineering diagrams that Fujifilm shared are generally pretty close to what the final product ends up being unless something changes spec-wise in the design, that being said this comparison is rough. One thing is for sure the XF150-600mm will benefit from a larger body camera like the Fujifilm X-H2 when it comes to hand-holding. I just can’t emphasize enough how much I hope the Fujifilm X-H2 does not come with a PSAM dial and instead comes with a larger shutter and ISO dial.
