Squarehoods are very popular for Fujifilm cameras and one of the first square hoods on the market is releasing its 3rd generation design soon. The second-generation design slightly changed the way the hood is mounted, while this third-generation design is 1mm more compact. The third-generation design should be available soon here. There are other square hood designs on the market too here and here. Squarehood also has an alternative design called the model V, which you can check out here. We have seen a lot of square hoods over the past year and I hope we see more in the future that are easier to install and remove.
