Lens Tips: Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1 R WR Review

The Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1 R WR is a somewhat contriversial lens with some loving it and some hating it. Lens Tips seems to be on the side of hating it largely due to it not being exceptional in anyway while the Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 comes in two varients and they are quality lenses for the price. I personally feel that most f/1 lenses are for users that desire the look over all else because most are flawed and I am happy I stuck with my Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2, but I would like my lens even more if it was weather sealed. Cons:

Instead of a summary I would like to ask some questions:

  1. who in the Fujifilm decided to launch a 1.0/50 lens when there are already two versions of the 1.2/56 instrument available in a system which lacks an 85 mm f/1.2-1.4 device?
  2. why the expensive Fujinon XF 50 mm f/1.0 is not able to get better maximum results than the much cheaper and slower Fujinon 2/50?
  3. why resolution records in the Fujifilm X system belong to the cheap Viltrox and not to the Fujinon XF 50 mm f/1.0, a lens faster and significantly more expensive?
  4. does the Fujifilm X system really needs big, heavy fixed focal length lenses with price tags as high as $1500?
