I’m currently in the process of trying to learn Capture One 11 as well as I know Lightroom and I am finding the process a little frustrating. Capture One easily develops photos with proper lighting better than Lightroom, but it’s spot removal and extreme low light performance leaves a lot to be desired for me at least. If you follow me on Instagram you know I shoot a lot of Milkyway and editing those kinds of shots to taste in Capture One can be quite difficult. In fact, I have seen way more watercolor/worming/artifacting/etc in those photos than anything I have ever imported and edited in Lightroom.
I like a lot of what Capture One has to offer so far, but the interface leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe Capture One 12 will have an interface overhaul, but I will keep at it and share helpful videos with those trying to do the same. Capture One also has their own playlists getting started, tutorials and webinars. It also helps that Capture One 11 is the only software that I have to open my Fujifilm X-T3 RAW files at this time without using X-Transformer and the addition of Fujifilm GFX support makes it a good option to switch too from Lightroom.
