DPRTV: Fujifilm X-T3 Review
The Fujifilm X-T3 is the best all-around APS-C camera on the market according to DPRTV. You can do anything in photography or videography with it and get top tear results. The only “negative” thing that DPRTV really comes up with is the lack of IBIS, which we know will come in the Fujifilm X-H2.
Fujifilm X-T3 For Photos
Pros
- New hybrid AF phase detect system has great AF in low light
- Great electronic shutter performance
- Jello is very controlled
- Great AF performance
- Eye AF actually works and can track like Sony, but Sony has a little higher hit rate
- A small improvement in dynamic range around base ISO of about 1/3 stop
- Great EVF
- Most capable focusing AF system
Cons
- Slightly higher pixel noise at high ISO than X-T2
- Dynamic range not quite as good as the X-T2 at high ISO
- It can miss AF sometimes
- No easy way to switch between faces in a group with Eye AF
Fujifilm X-T3 For Video
Pros
- Great skin tones
- Very fast scanning sensor so not much jello
- Great panning
- On par with high-end Panasonic cameras
- Great preamps for recording audio that is as good as Panasonics
- Very impressed with the quality of this camera
- GH5 is the most comparable camera to the XT3
- Very reliable AF
- Very capable AF system
- Silent movie controls have seperate settings
- Very clean sharp image with 24/30/60p and 120p is very good too even though it has a little crop
- Great preamps in camera
- One of the best cameras out there right now
Cons
- Needs to be able to tap your subject and have the camera follow
- Needs a flip screen like the X-T100
- IBIS would be great since the X-H1 had great IBIS
- Hopes Fujifilm releases an X-H2 soon
