Camera Size: Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Hasselblad X1D-50c

Now that the professional sizers at Camerasize.com have the exact dimensions we know that the Fujifilm GFX 50S and Hasselblad X1D-50c are very close in size as predicted by my printable GFX that was available in September.

The Fujifilm GFX 50S and Hasselblad X1D are both small enough that photographers can choose to shoot them in a variety of new and exciting ways that medium format cameras are not traditionally utilized. I find it exciting that both Fujifilm and Hasselbald have unshackled a larger than 35mm format from the studio for us to enjoy in life. It is my belief that these are the kinds of innovations that will keep the mirrorless interchangeable lens market healthy for years to come.

Camerasize.com can show you what the various GFX lenses will look like on the GFX 50S if you are interested, but as of this time they do not have any of the Hasselblad X1D-50c lenses in their system to compare. The Fujinon GF63 and even the GF32-64mm look pretty portable, with only the GF120 beginning to look a little large. Fujifilm has done an amazing job.
