Fujinon XF 23mm f/2 R WR 4k Footage: Day of The Dead

Last year I took a lot of photos at The Day of The Dead Parade with my Leica’s, but this year I decided to try my Fujifilm X-T2 and Fujinon XF23mm f/2 R WR to see how they performed. I already shared my photos, but here is the 4k video I shot the other night. This is the RAW footage and it was filmed fully manually so any errors are my own. In the first video I manually focused at 9ft where I figured the first banner would be fully visible and then I pulled focus to about 6ft for the rest of the parade.

The camera was set to 1/50th a second and 1/50th a second with the ISO set to 6400 in both videos for consistency, but the sun was setting so the camera is really struggling in the second video at times. I used Provia Standard with everything zero’d out because I didn’t have any intentions to do color grading etc… and the audio was capture with the internal microphone, which was set to 3 for the first video and 15 on the second (an error on my behalf). I probably could have focused better with an external recorder with a bigger screen, but I did my best under the conditions. Hopefully you enjoy the videos and follow me on YouTube, because I would like to produce more videos in the future. If there is an interest in video I’ll put out the money for an atomos and do log video right.
