Last night I was able to attend the opening of the Markus Klinko event sponsored by Fuji at the Markowitz Fine Art Gallery. It was a great event, and all of the proceeds are going to cancer research. The prints were large and the colors were brilliant; it’s worth checking out if you’re in town. The exhibition will only be on display from February 26th through mid-March, 2016.
While there, I was able to briefly speak with the photographer about his work, which was apparently done with a medium format film Hasselblad. From what I could gather, Fuji’s involvement was primarily related to printing and possibly scanning, but the work looked absolutely fantastic in person. If you’re interested in how the photographer stumbled upon the opportunity, New Times has an excellent interview that I came across which has a lot of details about how the shoot happened.
If you would like to see more photos from the event, my photos from the event are here.
