Thypoch Lenses Are Coming To X-Mount With A Unique Depth-of-Field Indicator

Photorumors is reporting that Chinese lens maker Thypoch will start bringing its M-mount lenses to Fujifilm X-Mount, Sony E-Mount, Nikon-Z Mount, and Canon RF Mount. Thypoch seems to be pretty well-respected from the reviews I have found online and they seem to be priced fairly.

Thypoch currently manufactures a Thypoch Simera 28mm f/1.4 and Thypoch Simera 35mm f/1.4 for M-mount that can be adapted to other mounts. In the future, it is rumored they will release a Thypoch Eureka 50mm f/2 that I hope is similar to a classic Leica 50mm f/2 Summicron, but they might be venturing away from the “Leica look.” Thypoch lenses also have a unique depth-of-field indicator for photographers who like to zone focus for street shooting that will be awesome on a compact camera body it is similar to a Kern MacroSwitar lens.

Below are some photos from a Thypoch lens on a Sony a7RIV

Thypoch Lenses can be found at B&H Photo and Amazon.

B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama

Godox announced another new Retro flash that would probably go well with the Fujifilm X100VI that just launched but also matches other Fujifilm camera bodies well. You can read details about the flash below:

Drawing inspiration from the design and function of vintage Graflex 3 Cell flashguns, this Lux Master Retro Camera Flash from Godox brings modern wireless triggering and a touchscreen interface to a powerful, bracket-mounted strobe. The flash has a guide number of 82′ at ISO 100 and can be further adjusted in 0.1-step increments from 2.0 or 1/256 at the low end and 10.0 or 1/1 at full power. Featuring manual, automatic, optical, high-speed sync, and multiflash modes, it can deliver TTL Auto when used with a compatible wireless trigger. Toggle through the modes and settings using the intuitive touchscreen interface. Its built-in 2.4G wireless receiver works with the Godox XPROII, the X2T, and the X3 for remote triggering.

Widely compatible with major camera brands, including Canon, Nikon, FUJIFILM, Olympus, Sony, Leica, and Pentax, the flash comes with a triggering cable and a mounting bracket for use with almost any camera. The fan-style reflector is detachable for convenient storage, and a cover is included to protect the flash bulb. First Fujifilm X-T50 Image Leaked!

Photorumors shared the first image of the Fujifilm X-T50 which was originally leaked on Weibo. Not much is known about the X-T50, but with an image of the camera leaking it is increasingly likely that we will hear something about it at or around the time of the Fujifilm X Summit which is when we expect to hear about the Fujifilm GFX100SII.

Interestingly Photorumors asked Google AI about the camera and it has this to say

The Fujifilm X-T50 is a camera that is expected to be highly acclaimed and shake up the APS-C mirrorless market. It is the successor to the X-T30II and belongs to the 5th generation of Fujifilm cameras. The X-T50 is also set to be bundled with the Fujinon XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 kit lens.

I’m still finding it a bit odd that Fujifilm decided to skip over the Fujifilm X-T40 in favor of the X-T40. I understand Fujifilm wants to avoid confusion about the capabilities of the Fujifilm X-T5 and X-T50 being similar by skipping over the Fujifilm X-T40, but does this mean that Fujifilm will also skip the Fujifilm X-Pro4 and call it the Fujifilm X-Pro5? I guess we will have to wait and see.
