The Fujifilm X-Pro 2 Might Have The Best APS-C Sensor on The Market

Sony has been producing dominant sensors for some time now, which is why Fujifilm decided to have them manufacture the sensor in the Fujifilm X-Pro 2, but the Sony a6300 currently is the best APS-C sensor on the market by DXO’s measure, which can only be beat by the Nikon D7200 at base ISO. Sadly we will probably never know how much performance Fujifilm squeezed out of their X-Tran Sony sensor, but it has been reported that it has a lot in common with the a6300 sensor so the a6300 DXO test should give us an idea of how the X-Pro 2 compares. Fujifilm and Sony should be very happy that Sony’s new sensor bested the Nikon D500 and only fell slightly behind the Nikon D7200 at base ISO. We have a lot to look forward to with the Fujifilm X-T2 right around the corner.
